LANSING and BAY CITY, Mich. — Viridis Laboratories, the leading provider of cannabis safety testing in Michigan, has hired three new employees at its Bay City and Lansing locations.

In Bay City, Brandon Lucius joined the team as a field technician. In Lansing, Austin Davis was hired as a support specialist and Dominick Adams joined the team as a laboratory technician.

“At Viridis, our highly trained laboratory technicians use the latest technology and scientific methods to test cannabis products and help promote the health and safety of patients and adult-use consumers,” said Todd Welch, chief operating officer at Viridis. “Both technicians and support staff play a key role in ensuring cannabis manufacturers are providing high-quality products to their customers, and that customers are confident the products are safe and effective.”

Following COVID-19 safety protocols, field technicians work directly with cannabis manufacturers and processors to ensure samples are collected properly to prevent cross-contamination issues prior to the samples arriving at the lab for a variety of testing — including potency, microbial and terpene analyses.

“Our state-of-the-art field collection process distinguishes Viridis from all other cannabis testing facilities,” said Dr. Michele Glinn, chief science officer at Viridis. “Our technicians take all necessary precautions to help ensure the safety of the product and that of everyone involved from pick-up to lab analysis. Viridis employs 40 highly trained technicians, scientists and support staff members at its Bay City and Lansing labs.
